Be Prepared - don't go farming unless you're prepared. Always remember to bring an ample supply of drinks and food (if you're not a mage), and don't forget to bring as much empty inventory space as possible! Going farming with a full inventory is about as useless as head first into a brick wall.

Don't die - farming isn't supposed to be difficult, just tedious. If you find yourself constantly getting killed by the local bad guys, backtrack a bit until you find a spot where you can easily kill a few monsters without having to rest every fight.
