Don't stand around. The worst thing you can do is to just stand around and not get anything accomplished. In the World of Warcraft if you're not doing anything to make gold, then you might as well not be playing the game.

Stick to the fast spawn areas. There are a ton of "fast spawn" areas in Warcraft - areas that, when one monster dies, another immediately takes its place. When you find one of these areas make a note of it, because these places help you increase your overall gold output. Be careful, though, since constantly fighting can distract you from how much health you have left.

Don't die. You know what death is? Time spent not making gold. If you don't die, you won't have to spend time running back to your corpse and healing.

Get a collection job. Skinning, mining, herbalism - whatever you like, make sure you have one of them. Personally, I prefer skinning as most of the "fast spawn" monsters are actually skinnable creatures, and getting stacks of leather and hides is a quick process in those areas.

Yeah, there aren't a lot of cheats out there for World of Warcraft - and the anti-cheat engine that is installed with the game will get your account closed; but, if you stick to the motto "always active" then you'll never even think about cheating.
